Community Engagement Manager (Remote)

At MyHealthTeam, we create online social networks for people living with chronic health conditions, such as diabetes, lupus, and breast cancer. With 4.5 million+ members across 60+ condition-focused communities, we’re the largest and fastest-growing social network in chronic health. Our mission is simple: to make living with a chronic condition less isolating by fostering meaningful connections, sharing trusted information, and building supportive communities.

Each year, we launch 5 to 10 new communities, expanding our reach and impact. As we grow, we’re looking for a creative, results-driven, and passionate Community Engagement Manager to join our team.

Who You Are:

You’re a natural connector. You love sparking conversations, engaging online audiences, and creating a sense of belonging — whether in person or in digital spaces. If you’ve built an online community, moderated an active social feed, or designed engagement campaigns that bring people together, we want to hear from you!

What You Get To Do Every Day:

  • Fostering engagement — Roll out the red carpet for new members, making them feel welcome and excited to participate. Support and empower ambassadors, our most engaged community leaders. Design motivational challenges, live Q&A sessions, and interactive programs that drive engagement.
  • Content creation — Develop posts that spark meaningful conversations, short videos, and polls that drive engagement. Craft relatable, health-focused content that resonates with our members. Work with cross-functional teams to curate trustworthy and valuable health resources.
  • Community management — Moderate conversations to ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive space. Help members connect with each other and share meaningful experiences. Proactively identify and address engagement challenges, ensuring long-term community success.
  • Member advocacy — Be the voice of our members, collaborating with the Product, Content, and Marketing teams to improve the overall user experience. Ensure that our platform continues to meet the needs of people living with chronic conditions.
  • Driving results — Launch and scale new communities with measurable goals (e.g., 20 percent engagement rate). Analyze engagement trends and optimize strategies for long-term growth.

Skills That Aren’t Required, but Definitely a Plus:

  • Experience as a patient advocate or influencer — or a strong connection to health-related causes
  • A creative mindset — you love thinking outside the box and trying new engagement tactics
  • A data-driven approach — you use metrics to refine strategies and measure success
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple communities at once

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years of experience building and scaling online communities
  • A proven ability to spark meaningful conversations and keep them going
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills — you know how to engage an audience
  • A quick, empathetic, and thoughtful approach to public-facing interactions

Expected Salary Range

$85,000 — $90,000
