Why MyHealthTeam

When we recently gathered our team for a town hall meeting (in person!) at MyHealthTeam headquarters in San Francisco, I was reminded what an extraordinary group of individuals make up this company and that – together – we are doing impactful work.

Our team has more than doubled in size since the start of the pandemic – and there are a few of us who have been working together since the beginning, now 10 years ago. It was such a joy to see everyone IRL. Over the course of two days, one of my favorite things was watching people gather in smaller groups to collaborate on projects in progress or brainstorm new ideas while walking to get coffee with a colleague. The positive energy was palpable, and it’s continued to infuse our daily work even as everyone returned to their home base.

This video, created by our all-star in-house video team, captures the essence of that – providing a view into “Why MyHealthTeam.” Several of us share our perspectives on what makes the work we do for our members and partners and with each other so valuable – both professionally and personally. I invite you to watch.

From day one, when Eric and I started MyHealthTeam, we’ve remained committed to doing well and doing good. I’m proud to help create a workplace where:

  • We recognize, respect and celebrate differences – because a diversity of experiences, perspectives, and skills make MyHealthTeam better for everyone;
  • Every team member is a thought partner – helping imagine, plan, and execute effective solutions to even the most complex problems;
  • We hold ourselves and each other accountable to doing outstanding work – communicating expectations, empowering action, and measuring impact;
  • We proactively work to eliminate inequities in healthcare – for our members and for our employees; and
  • We continuously learn – from our mistakes, each other, our members, partners, medical experts – in order to continually improve.

These values are shared by everyone at MyHealthTeam, while each person is able to contribute uniquely to shaping our culture. At the same time, we continue to work tirelessly on behalf of the millions who visit our social networks and knowledge centers. Interested in partnering with us? See what others have to say.
